ART GILLHAM PRIVATE RECORDINGS
1946-1950
|
Art's friend, Ab Luther, from Knoxville, purchased a home recording machine and began recording Art at leisure on acetate disks. Later he upgraded to the new reel to reel tape recording. Other friends also made tape recordings. During this period he made audition records for King Records on acetate and an audition tape for RCA Victor. These recordings have been transferred to compact disks. A set of the compact disks has been given to the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in Macon, Georgia. |
